Our History
Serving families of the deceased goes way back for Rev. Dr. Fred Robinson. After Fred Robinson finished serving in the Army during the Vietnam War era, he served in the Memorial Activity Department of the U.S. Army. There, he identified and classified the military deceased in an overseas theater of operations command. He also served at the Receiving Vault, where officials casketed military deceased who were temporarily housed for burial at Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. But even before his time in the military, Robinson had a connection to the ministry of the funeral service industry, with his family operating Richardson Mortuary. Before getting ready for high school each morning , he would get up and wash and vacuum the cars for the mortuary and then take a shower before going to school dressed in a shirt and tie.
He'd need the suit and tie, because as soon as school let out, he was hopping into a limousine to head off to help out, ready to go because of already being decked out in a suit and tie. The look had him voted Mr. Esquire while in school.
"This is a love and a ministry for me," Robinson said.
We stand behind our reputation and will continue to serve our community with the values instilled by our funeral directors.
